for Preventing Acne at Any Age
(ARA) – From sweet 16 to fabulous 40 and beyond, acne is a condition that
affects almost everyone at some time in their lives. According to the National
Institutes of Health, nearly 85 percent of adolescents and young adults
between the ages of 12 and 24 develop the condition, and some people continue
to be affected into their forties and fifties.
“It’s important to remember that
acne has both internal and external causes,” says Amy Baker, founder of
Nature’s Cure, an innovative health and beauty products company. “However,
there are some basic precautions you can take to help prevent breakouts.”
Here are some tips from Baker for
people of any age who want to keep their skin clear:
* Don’t pick, pop or squeeze, or
otherwise mess with your skin. Squeezing blemishes or whiteheads can lead
to infection or scarring. It almost always makes the acne you have worse.
* Wash your pillowcase often and
always use clean face towels. Dirty towels and pillowcases can harbor bacteria

Make a paste from a little oatmeal
and water. Apply to face and allow to dry. Gently wipe off with a damp
wash cloth.
Mash 1/2 banana and add 1 tablespoon
honey and 2 tablespoons sour cream. Apply to face and let set for about
10 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.
Two tablespoons of cornmeal mixed
with enough water to make a thick paste makes a great inexpensive facial
mask. Gently apply to face and wash off.
In a food processor or blender, combine
1/2 cucumber, 1 tablespoon yogurt, a few strawberries, and 1 teaspoon honey.
Apply to face and allow to dry. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.
Grind 1 tablespoon almonds into a
fine meal in a blender or food processor. Mix almond meal together with
1 tablespoon honey and 1 egg white. Apply to face and let set for about
15 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.
To loosen blackheads, combine equal
parts baking soda and water in your hand and rub gently on your skin for
2 to 3 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Mash half of an avocado and apply
to entire face. Let set for about 20 minutes and then gently wipe off with
a damp wash cloth.
Soak 1 cup dried apricots in water
until softened. Puree in blender or food processor with 2 tablespoons skim
milk powder. Apply to face and let set about 15 minutes. Gently wipe off
with a damp wash cloth.
Puree 1/2 peeled, sliced cucumber
in a blender or food processor and add 1 tablespoon yogurt. Apply to face
and let set about 20 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.
Crush a handful of strawberries and
mix well with 1 teaspoon honey. Apply to face and let set for about 15
minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.
Mix 1 1/2 teaspoons honey, the juice
from 1/2 of a lemon, and 1 small carton plain yogurt. Stir in 1 whipped
egg white. Apply to face and let set about 15 minutes. Gently wipe off
with a damp wash cloth.

Get rid of blemishes
Apply toothpaste to the required
area, Leave on overnight.
Dried or chapped skin
Apply petroleum jelly (vaseline)
affected area.
Falling hair
Pour cinnamon in to 12 or more ounces
of water, let it boil for 5-10 minutes. After it cools down, apply to hair
scalp for 10 -15 minutes. Then shampoo and rinse as usual.
Hot oil treatment
Heat any vegetable oil (do not over
heat). Apply to hair cover with shower cap and leave on for 10-20 minutes.
Blackheads
Mix oatmeal and honey, apply to
skin. Massage skin for 5-7 minutes then rinse off with warm water.

red lips too, but you don't know how to pick the right shade. Here
are some tips for red, lush lips!
1) Consider skin tone and overall
coloring. Choosing the right red means knowing your skin tone. This
means if you have warm coloring, you should find a red with a golden or
more brown undertone. A cool tone has more 'blue' tones.
2) Look at the shape of your lips.
Thin or full, red can be worn! If your lips are thin, opt for
lighter shades of red. For those of you with fuller lips, look for
deeper, darker reds.
3) Look at the condition of your
lips. True for any time or color, but with red, which attracts so
much glorious attraction, you sure don't want to have dry or cracked lips!
Lips do not produce oil like our skin, because they have no oil producing
glands. The skin on our lips is actually mucous membrane, so for them to
remain smooth and chap free is a bit of a challenge. Before you go to bed
and in the
morning take a damp cloth and gently
rub over all parts of your lips until smooth to touch. Then a apply a lip
mousterizer.
4) Lip Application Tips. Apply
a very fine coat of loose powder first (helps to avoid any bleeding &
provides extra staying power!). Carefully line your lips with a co-ordinated
liner to keep the look focused and clean. Red makes mistakes very
obvious, so be extra careful when applying it. Be sure to blot so
the extra doesn't end up on your teeth!
5) Balance. Red lips will be
the focus of your face, so make sure the rest of your look doesn't compete
with it. A little mascara and eye liner will keep up the glamour
without being overpowering.
6) Enjoy the attention! Red lipstick
is not for those who want to blend into the crowd, so be ready to get noticed.
